There is no balcony in Romeo and Juliet
Everyone knows the balcony scene, yet the word balcony never appears in the text we publish.

Verona in Italy has a "House of Juliet." Visitors gaze up at its balcony from the courtyard, take photos, and leave letters addressed to Juliet. A volunteer group, the Juliet Club, writes back. The balcony itself, though, was added in the twentieth century.
In the book Romeo and Juliet · William Shakespeare
In our text, the stage direction for that scene reads: [Juliet appears above at a window.]
She stands at a window above, sighing over the son of her family's enemy: O Romeo, Romeo! wherefore art thou Romeo?
Wherefore means why, not where. Why must you be Romeo, a Montague?
